So what's all this, then?

Yea, I'm looking at you, missy.

Well, perhaps I had better start from the beginning. It was late September, 1979, on a cool, crisp autumn morning; a fine layer of frost reflecting the morning sunlight, and a soft wind blew through a mosaic of multi-tonal leaves... *ahem* wait, that's the wrong beginning...

In 1998 I got my first computer with the intent to further my knowledge and abilities in regards to digital media, and using Adobe Photoshop to publish my artwork online at various art communities, which really didn't exist at the time (mostly because I didn't know enough to find them), so I went to geocities. Yes, the now defunct, geocities.

R.I.P. Geocities It was at geocities that I was presented with the opportunity to create my own website, and I did, with this weird thing called HTML... and Javascript. From that point on, I was hooked. I spent nearly every waking moment learning, and tinkering; recreating the cool stuff I saw the big guys doing, and trying to do it better.

Ten years later, and somewhere near 15 programming languages later, I'm still doing it, and making a living at it now too. Cool, eh?

I've gotten help from some of the best in the business along the way, and now I want to share what knowledge I can to help others learn, and to provide a good place of reference for myself as well; you see, I have the memory span of a drunken goldfish.

So Mavenous Studios is a company?

The short answer; no. The long answer; no, it is not. Mavenous Studios is simply a name I came up with for my own personal blogging site. I've just always liked the sound of having my own "studio". It's all artsy n' shit.

I currently work for an awesome telecommunications company here in Pocatello, Idaho, FuzeCore. I get to program and design all day in various capacities. Custom cloud-based applications, website design, in-house applications and utilities, etc. I've been there for nearly 3years now and it's awesome. Come check us out if you're local to the SE Idaho area.

So, uhh; Mavenous? Really?

ma·ven·ous   [mey-vuh n-uh s]   /ˈmeɪvənuəs/ *

No, I know. You normally wouldn't append the adjective suffix "ous" to an abstract noun especially being that maven itself already has a present participle form carrying nearly the same meaning, as does the adjective form mavenly rendering the need for yet another adjective "ous" Lexeme moot; but I don't care. Just look at how willing I am to construct obtuse and nonsensical run-on sentences.

Keep it up, I'll bastardize the hells out of the English language, perverting it with the fever akin to that of a hyper-ass five year-old child with ADHD all hopped up on the Coca-Cola, and Pop Rocks, and not feel a bit worse for having done so.

Okay, maybe just a little bit, but I'm easily distracted; I'll get over it. In fact, I all ready have... look, I found a quarter! *grin*

Because this was a bitch for me to find, I'm sure others may have the same issue. Here is a link to the IPA Unicode HTML Characters for use on web pages. You are welcome.
